So it’s close to 11pm and I’m at a church building… on a Wednesday night. I worked today and I will work tomorrow.
I’m at a youth dance. Uh, weird.
It has been maybe 12 years since I have been to one. The last one I was at I was also a “leader” and I took my brother and sister. I must have still looked young because a girl about 14 asked me to dance. She was very surprised when I said I was a returned missionary.
Anyways- as few more minutes and this one will be over. The music is much louder than I remember. I hope this is not a sign I am getting old. Hey at least I know the songs.
I have had a cough since the first week of July. I thought it was a because I was using steel wool to smooth the refinished table and maybe I breathed in bits of it. Then Susan started with the same symptoms. Now I am heading into another week and it is still lingering. I went to the doctor and he gave me some prescriptions as expected. I guess I am just a cheapskate cause I asked the pharmacist what I could get off the shelf that was similar. Ha, I turns out I was already taking it. The antibiotic was the new so we shall see if that helps.
We past nine years of marriage. Ok, so nine years is not too long but still it is a good chunk of time.
We are fairly frugal when it comes to many things we spend our money on around the house. One thing we never purchased before is towels, meaning bath towels.
So after having the towels comeback from the laundry still smelling we decided to buy some new ones.
HOLY COW!!! What a difference 9 years makes. Maybe there was some towel making breakthrough that never made it to the news. These new towels rock. I described it like this, “It’s like a thousand little baby kisses.”
You don’t have to buy me much, but the simple things sure are great.
