I finally updated the About Us page to include Tucker. He has only been around for 15 months. I figure he is going to stick around for a while.
An update on Tucker: He has most of his teeth now. He is starting to say a few words, meaning repeat the same sound every time when referring to what he wants. He has no fear and climbs on everything. He then fall off everything. He is full of energy and rarely stops unless he falls asleep.

So today is a special day. Susan’s birthday. But for the reasons below it felt like my birthday.
While getting ready Grant took very good care of me. He started out by taking the tweasers from Susan when she finished and started to pluck my eye brows because he said they were long. After he finished he said that it was time to scrub my feet. He actually focused and did a good job. I was impressed with the length of time he spent smoothing out my feet. Usually he does it for about 20 seconds. After we cleaned up from that we both went into the closet. He suggested that I choose a red tie to match his red tie. He then began sorting through my pants to find a pair. He chose a pair of khakis that went well with the tie. I asked him if he thought it matched and his response was, “I think it looks okay.”
The complete outfit soon followed with shoes, socks, belt and shirt all being found and selected by him.
I said to Susan after this, “I guess I better enjoy it since he may not do this for too much longer.” He really wanted to help his dad.
The new schedule for Sunday meetings is causing some issues with Grant’s nap schedule. He fell asleep for the last weeks and yesterday would have with a few more minutes of talk time. No nap in the afternoon made it easy to put him to sleep. Sometimes with that scenario he could be a cranky little boy.
As a side note, at the request of Susan I have begun to work on adding more pages to our website… for the end of last year and now 2006. I have added the zoo trip we made two Saturdays ago.

So much to learn so little time between semesters. Some might call me crazy to trying to do so much. I have Susan for an example of always having something to do.
If I am not in school and having to do work there to learn then I am trying to learn something new on my own. I am just that way. I can’t seem to go very long just sitting on the couch every night. That doesn’t happen very often as a nightly occurrence so when a few days stack up I start to get antsy.
I started to read a book on PHP and MySQL to develop something I started last summer. While I was visiting my family back east and I decided to scan the old photos that my mother had laying around the house. I started mainly with the older photos of my dad and mom. I also got some of my grandparents when they were young (1930-40s). This summer I was there for my sisters wedding reception. I had a few days to visit. So I scanned mostly pictures of me. I now have a large collection of old photos that I would like to share. Enter PHP and MySQL. I want to create a small database that is searchable and will display the pictures on screen based upon the criteria specified. Very ambitious I am finding. If you have done this before or have some suggestions please email me.
